ABOUT THIS SITE
Hi. I'm Natalie (more on that below) and this is my blog. I use this website to write about experiences I have had throughout my career in hopes that this will provide some pragmatic career advice, particularly for younger readers entering the workforce for the first time.
ABOUT ME
I currently wear multiple hats as Director of a Denver-based boutique investment bank. I advise clients who own and operate businesses across a variety of industries related to building products, construction services, and construction technology/software. Before moving back to the "sell side," I was a member of the investment team for a family office and private equity fund, where I was exposed to a wide spectrum of alternative investments. I began my finance career in investment banking, but prior to paying my dues as an analyst a fortuitous internship with a tech-focused private equity firm helped me transition from consulting to the world of mergers & acquisitions (M&A). I began my career in technology consulting to the pharmaceutical / medical device industry. I hold a BSBA, Finance, magna cum laude, from Colorado State University, as well as a Spanish minor that I get to dust off occasionally.
On a more personal note:
Like most Coloradans, I am a transplant, but as the bumper sticker says, "I got here as fast as I could!" After nearly 20 years of mountains and sunshine, Colorado is home. I reside in Denver with my husband (and way too many pets) and lead a typical Colorado lifestyle: wearing plaid, spending as much time outdoors as possible, and of course, driving a Subaru.
